The Android and iOS apps track events such as when a user searches for a station to help understand how users intract with the app. None of the data collection is personally identifying. By doing this, I can improve the app over time for everyone with new features and bug fixes :)
Where location is required to provide features, the app asks permission from the user and can be toggled on or off at any time. Any location data sent to the APIs is processed ephemerally and is not logged anywhere.
The app does not collect any personal data. The only data stored is the user's favourite stations which are stored locally on the device. This data is not shared with any third parties.
The Manchester Buses app does not track any events.
